The owner of the Culebra Meat Market in the heart of Florence says he wants to leave the city because he is tired of working in the city.
The market has been around for over 100 years and it has a strong tradition in the local area.
“I have worked there for more than 100 years,” Antonio de Callebras said.
“But the way things are going, I can’t see going back.”
He is looking for a new job in his native Italy.
Last month, the local authorities announced that the city would lose up to 200 jobs, including 120 local government workers.
The town of Culebras is located in the middle of Florence and the city has struggled to attract more migrants to the region, with its unemployment rate at more than 12 per cent.
De Callebre’s family is currently living in Milan.
