Share this article Share The latest Apple Watch app, Harvest, is bringing a much-needed touch of innovation to the world of farmers markets.
The app lets you select the market you want to visit, then you get the ability to browse through a selection of stock and products, including fruits, veggies, nuts and grains.
The app also gives you a shopping list of what you can buy in the market, which is easy to use, according to a company spokesperson.
You can also set up alerts for market hours, which means you can know when prices are high or low, so you don’t have to waste your time trying to find what you’re looking for.
You also have the option to set a price range, which will give you an idea of what to expect from the market.
For example, the current market price is $1.49 per pound of produce, which should give you a good idea of how much your produce might cost.
In a press release, the app says the Harvest app will soon be available for iPhone and iPad.
Apple declined to comment on pricing and availability of the app.
For the first time in Apple’s history, farmers markets are being transformed into one of the largest and most popular retail shopping experiences in the world.
In the past, farmers market food vendors would charge you $25 to participate in the events, but now that the app is available, they’re charging you just $1 per purchase, according the Harvest team.
The price includes the cost of the fruits and veggies, so the price per ounce of produce is lower than if you bought in bulk.
To see if you qualify, you can go to the app’s website and check out what’s on sale and when.
The Harvest team says they plan to keep expanding Harvest as more farmers markets across the world are added to the iOS app.
For now, you’ll have to rely on the app to check out the markets.
