Hong Kong real estate market is on the brink of a major rebound, according to the most recent data.
As of August 2018, the number of units sold per day was at 6,500.

This was the lowest figure since October 2015.

This is still below the 10% mark seen in the city in the 1970s.
The number of people in the country is growing at a faster rate than the population.
According to the latest census data, there are now more than 1.6 million Hong Kong residents, or around 6.5% of all the people in Hong Kowloon.
The average age of Hong Kong’s population is also getting older.
According the latest figures, the median age of a Hong Kong resident was 40 in 2021.
The median age is also increasing at a slower rate than that of the rest of the world.
The last census was taken in 1997, when the average age in Hongkong was just 30.
